§ the idea

The Bates Hall reading room after dark. A flat lamp-black ground, the page a lit column with hairline edges, sidebars as bare type, Libre Caslon on the page and the hidden markdown syntax hanging in the gutter. The hall itself stands behind the chrome as lamplight dots and recedes as you settle into a paragraph. Ships four Puvis de Chavannes panels as margin plates.

Install it

  1. Open the Store from the left rail in Solomon (or press ⌘9) and choose Themes.
  2. Find Evening and click Install. It lands in your vault’s Themes/ folder.
  3. Choose it under Settings → Appearance. The default look is one click away there too.
